About Brooke Blaine:

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas. She is the author of Flash Point, a romantic suspense standalone, as well as the co-author of the erotic series, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released November 11th, 2015 and is the first in the L.A. Liaisons series. If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find - just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.

Cover Reveal ~ The White Pawn by Stevie J Cole

COVER REVEAL

Book Description:

 Marisa
This should be a love story. Everything’s in place for it to be. The perfect lines, the perfect souls, but you see, Justin thinks it’s a game. He thinks I’m his pawn, but he couldn’t be more wrong. Every move he makes, I’ll block him. Every time he thinks he’s about to seize me, I’ll run. Some men underestimate the power of the queen because they’re too busy playing king. They forget she’s the most powerful piece on the board. And love is not a game I’m apt at losing.
What will it take for him to realize I’ll never be his pawn, but I’ll happily play his queen?

Justin
She wants a love story. And while I’ve set it up just like I do my own stories, it’s not love I’m after, it’s the chase. Marisa thinks she can outplay me. Even though I’m always one step ahead of her, she keeps me on my toes, which is why don’t underestimate her. Not one bit, but it seems she forgets the game’s not over until the king is dead.
And she’ll never kill me, because I’ll make her love me. And then, checkmate, I win.
Love is not a game, but the chase certainly is.

Blog Tour, Review & Excerpt ~ Sweet Rivalry (1001 Dark Nights) by K Bromberg

   sweetriv

Book Description:

Ryder Rodgers had a plan.

He was going to stride into the conference room, do the required song and dance over the next five days, and win the biggest contract of his career. But when he walked in and heard the voice of one of his competitors, all his plans were shot to hell.

Harper Denton. She was always on top. In college. First in their class. Always using every advantage to edge him out to win the coveted positions. The only one who could beat him. His academic rival. More like a constant thorn in his side. And his ego’s.

When he heard her voice, he was brought back to years before. To the bitter taste of being second best. But the woman who meets his gaze is nothing like the drab wallflower he used to know. Hell no. She was all woman now: curves, confidence, and staggering sex appeal. And no doubt, still brilliant.

The fact that she’s gorgeous and bright won’t distract him. This time, Ryder’s determined to be the one on top. But not if Harper can help it.

***ARC received for an honest review***

“Tell me what to do, Harper.”

It’s a quickie, but a goodie and I never thought I would see the day that K Bromberg could condense her words to 120 pages.

It is hard to really connect with characters in such few pages but K Bromberg managed to spark that connection with Sweet Rivalry. While we are treated to a smidgeon of their back story it was just enough to whet the appetite and have you itching to see just what was in store for Ryder and Harper.

Ryder and Harper were bitter rivals in grad school, both were fantastic at what they did, self-assured, opinionated and highly competitive. These two fuelled one another along, to get better, to be better and more importantly to win. Their fierce rivalry though gave way to an undercurrent of sexual tension of which the culmination of was one kiss. That kiss left its mark though, but when would these two cross paths again?

“The sweet rivalry between us just became a whole lot sweeter.”

Over a decade later, walking into an office to compete for a huge construction project Ryder and Harper come face to face once again. Rivals once again, but it seems that sizzle is still there and the way that these two just look at one and other, combustion isn’t far away.

“I got off thinking about you last night.”

These two were seriously hot together and the undercurrent of sexual tension was captured perfectly. This was a quick light read, perfectly paced and with fantastic banter that will have you smiling from ear to ear. But more than that, this was a story of morals, trust and believing in doing the right thing. No matter how many years spent apart, some things are worth a lot more than a wedge of green.

Totally loved it.

Excerpt:

He takes a step toward me then hesitates, but before I can process anything else, his lips are on mine.
And not just on mine––not just a brush of lips against lips—but I’m talking all in. Hands on my cheeks, tongue licking between my lips, body pressed against mine, groan in the back of his throat, type of all in.
I don’t react at first. I’m stunned. Flabbergasted, my mind reeling from the anger to the  surprise to now this without any warning at all.
  This is Ryder.
  My rival.
  My supporter.
  My crush.
The thoughts flicker that this is what I’ve wanted. But they soon shift to panic. To insecurity I don’t kiss well enough. That this is all a joke and I’m the butt of it.
But then I feel. Everything. All at once.
And I know this is real.
It’s like I can’t catch my breath and have too much air all at the same time.
My body is on fire. And not just from his touch but from that burn deep inside that feels like it’s exploding and imploding all at once.
So this is what it feels like to really be kissed.
It’s a fleeting thought before the sensations, the moment, the emotions, consume me whole.
His hands move my face to change the angle of the kiss. His fingertips on the line of my jaw singe my skin. His lips move expertly against mine, and all I can do is feel. All I can do is want.
  Thinking isn’t an option.
The anger from before has morphed to want. The adrenaline has recharged with desire.
  There is no rivalry.
There is no graduation ceremony tomorrow I’m missing to catch my flight.
There is no panic over if I’ll ever see him again.
  It’s just him.
  And me.
The scent of his cologne in my nose. The heat of his body against mine. The taste of hunger in his kiss.

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.

On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Release Day Blitz ~ Running Mate by Katie Ashley

“The race will be a fight to the death finish, and that’s not even the actual campaign.”

Meet Barrett Callahan in Running Mate by Katie Ashley!

Book Description:

The race will be a fight to the death finish, and that’s not even the actual campaign.

Barrett

The name’s Barrett Callahan. Yeah, that Barrett Callahan—the one the press dubbed “Bare” after those naked sexting pictures surfaced. At twenty-five, I was armed with an MBA from Harvard, an executive position at my father’s Fortune 500 company, a penthouse, and a different piece of delectable eye candy in my bed every weekend. I had a life most men dreamed of. But then my father decided to run for president, and my playboy lifestyle became a liability to his campaign that was built on family values. My “makeover” comes in the form of a fake fiancée who I don't even get to choose--one who is an uptight, choirgirl acting priss but also sexy-as-hell.

Addison

My latest relationship had gone down in flames, and I was drowning in a sea of student loans when in true Godfather status, James Callahan made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Seven figures for seven months on the campaign trail pretending to be the adoring fiancée of his son, Barrett. As soon as he won the election, our engagement would be dissolved amicably for the press, I was free to ride off into the sunset a million dollars richer, and because of the NDA, no one would be the wiser. Sure, I’d never met the guy, but I’d been a theater nerd in high school. I could pull off any role from Lady Macbeth to Maria Von Trapp. But that was before I met my fake fiancé—the infuriating, self-absorbed, egotistical, drop-dead-sexy King of the Manwhores.
