Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ Tall Dark Handsome Lycan (Book 1) by Anastasia Maltezos

Reviewed by Shirley ~ 4.5 Stars

This is a great romantic and sexy book about a girl whose name is Sam Hope, she is a tarot reader and psychic who owns a shop called the Crystal Ball and a very handsome but rather intimidating man called Leonidis Stefanos who has a very deep secret.

Needless to say these two didn't get off to a very good start due to a very heated telephone conversation concerning his sister Toni marrying Sam's brother John. Toni works with Sam in her shop.

After a freak electrical fire in the shop, Toni persuades Sam to take a two week holiday in the family’s summer home in Greece while repairs are being done to the shop telling Sam that she would have the house to herself and to go and relax and enjoy a break…and that's where this story begins oh yeah!

The first shock Sam has was seeing her nemesis Leo waiting to pick her up from the airport and learning that he would be staying in the house with her during her stay. Her first reaction was to turn back home but on seeing that the house was all she could hope for if she decides to stay and as long as she stayed out of Leo's way maybe it won't be a total disaster.

It was made better after meeting the housekeeper, Maria who was happy for Toni's happiness not like her brothers disapproval even if he was a very hunky man and Sam couldn't help being attracted to him.

After an emergency concerning Maria's daughter, things took a different turn for these two with Leo seeing Sam in a totally different light, so much so that when they he saw Sam waking him up in a semi-undressed state

“His eyes narrowed as he continued his thorough appraisal of her body draped in silk. Sam couldn't move as she watched his face darken with desire. An amber flame flickered behind his eyes as his gaze slipped to her breasts. She heard a barely discernable sound emanate from his throat. A small yet perceptible groan followed by a low, deep growl.”

The attraction between them was growing but Leo had a girlfriend in the background and this made Sam cautious, but Leo was thinking that, just maybe Sam could be his one.

Sam started to enjoy her holiday, but was dreading the upcoming dinners with Leo's parents and his girlfriend, one very nasty woman she turned out to be. Yikes!

The more Sam got to know Leo the more mystified she was, he was turning into a much warmer person not the arrogant man she first met who seemed to dislike her, so even to her amazement he actually told her.

"As it happens I find you very attractive and I have wanted to kiss you since we first met".

and after a while he realized and admitted to himself that he loved her, and finally broke her barriers down.

“With a long, deep growl, Leo plunged forward and Sam cried out in sheer pleasure at the heat coursing through her veins. Wave after wave of ecstasy shook her body, making her convulse with delicious shivers as Leo threw back his head and roared his release, spilling his seed into her womb.”

But then he had to send her away from him with Sam feeling humiliated that he had done so, but nothing could prepare her for what he had to tell her. Oh yeah!

I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. Since, I have read book 2 in this series and will definitely be buying 3 & 4 real soon.

Ms Maltezos please keep them coming.

Cover Reveal & Giveaway ~ Crashed (Driven 3) by K. Bromberg

We are excited to be apart of the cover reveal today for Crashed, book 3 in the Driven Trilogy by K Bromberg.

Book Description:

When life crashes down around us, how hard are we willing to fight for the one thing we can’t live without, each other?

Life is full of moments.
Big moments.
Little moments.
And none of them are inconsequential.
Every single moment prepares you for that one instance that defines your life. You must overcome all your fears, confront the demons that chase you, and cleanse the poison that clings to your soul or you risk the chance of losing everything.

Mine started the minute Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet. She made me feel. Made me whole when all I thought I could ever be was incomplete. Became the lifeline I never knew I needed. Hell yes, she’s worth the fight…but how do you fight for someone you know you don’t deserve?

Love is full of ups and downs.
Heart stopping highs.
Soul shattering lows.
And none of them are insignificant.
Love is a racecourse of unexpected twists and turns that must be negotiated. You have to break down walls, learn to trust, and heal from your past in order to win. But sometimes it’s the expected that’s the hardest to hold on to.

Colton has healed and completed me, stolen my heart, and made me realize our love’s not predictable nor perfect—it’s bent. And bent’s okay. But when outside factors put our relationship to the test, what lengths will I have to go to prove to him that he’s worth the fight?

Whoever said love is patient and love is kind, never met the two of us. We know our love is worth it—have acknowledged that we were meant to be—but when our pasts crash into our future, will the repercussions make us stronger or break us apart?

Book 1 ~ Driven

Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it…

I am the exception to the rule.

In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track.

Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline.

I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away?

Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?

Book 2 - Fueled

What happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one you’ll fight the hardest to keep?

Colton stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.

Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am most definitely the sinner.

How is it the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has us fighting so hard to keep?

He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.

How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she needs, so why can't I just let her go?

We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?

Angel After Dark by Kahlen Aymes

Reviewed by Donna ~ 3 to 3.5 Stars

“I don’t want you to lose yourself, honey. I’m trying to find you. To keep you with me.”

I have absolutely loved everything that Kahlen Aymes has written so was really excited when this book was released. I had seen the snippets and the teasers and my interest had been piqued, I wanted to know all about Angel and Alex.

I will say that I feel that this is what I call a “groundwork book,” basically, introducing us to the characters and their back stories. It is a slow burner and I did find it a bit too slow in places but the foundations have been laid now so I am anticipating some major plot lines to come through in the subsequent books in this series.

This is a love story with an edge of suspense, both Angel and Alex are alpha characters and this has already led to some seriously hot “rutting,” each character vying for the upper hand, the edge and most importantly the feeling of being in control. I really cannot wait to see where these two go in the future, the anticipation of this relationship has me salivating.

Angel is one ballsy lady, she is a criminal psychologist specialising in aiding those women that have been the victim of rape. She deals with some very unsavoury cases and characters, but with her inner strength and crazy determination she very rarely fails. She is well known and well respected in her field. She also has a soft side, though she likes to keep it hidden and she has a wicked sense of humour and is a diva on karaoke! She has also started a late night radio phone in session that deals primarily with relationship issues and whilst she is strong and tough (or so she thinks) the advice that she gives takes into account both the male and female psyche. It is on this late night show that she comes across Alex, or have they already met?

“The sound of Alex’s laughter reverberated through his empty house combined with the song that Angel played at the end of her set; Maneater by Nelly Furtado. He wasn’t familiar with the song but Angel’s message was loud and clear. Fucking priceless!”

Alex, married to his job, he is drop dead gorgeous, successful, driven, extremely rich but he knows his limitations. He knows that he cannot be someones boyfriend or husband because of his job and the life that he leads, so he goes into “arrangements” where he lays it on the line in the beginning. I will keep you, pay for anything you want, we will have a “monogamous sexual relationship” but that is all it can be and ever will be. He doesn’t have the time or the inclination for anything else. But will this change when he meets Angel?

These two do have great chemistry and I really cannot wait to see what happens going forward with them. Two extremely alpha characters together and you know you are going to get fireworks. Just when the pace of this book picked up and I was really getting into it, it finished and I was like WTH?? I wanted more! This does mean that I will be buying the next one though. I would have liked to have seen more happen with the underlying story of Angel’s “day job.” I did think that this is where the action was going to come from throughout the book and was just waiting for something to happen but it never did. I anticipate that this will come to a head over the course of the series.

“Because it can’t be controlled. I fight it, too, but I’m ready to let it happen. When we’re together like this, all I want to do is feel. There is no other choice.”

In summary the foundations have been laid and read and now I want to read the walls and finish with the roof, no doubt in true Kahlen Aymes style she will blow it off when we get there.

Friday Frights ~ Two’s A Couple, Three’s The Law by Eve Langlais

Reviewed by Shirley ~ 5 Stars

A fantasy come true in this brilliant book, it is sexy erotic and can be very funny. Two hot males and one verrry lucky lady.

Chloe, Anthony and Pete.
Chloe, one tall defence lawyer.
Anthony, a drop dead gorgeous D A prosecutor.
and Pete, one very hunky werewolf, what can I say.

The first male on Chloe’s scene so to say was Anthony. Anthony meets Chloe in a bar and persuades her to spend the night with him. Three times in as many places and many orgasms later wow. After a chance meeting the following day there is Pete which leads to another mind blowing night of sex.

“The passion. The wild sex. The out-of-this-world orgasms. And with a werewolf of all things.”

All this after going so long without OMG, from drought to uncontrollable nympho phew.

These two different men have totally blown Chloe away. Boy talk about a cold cold love life to raging hot and getting complicated. Yes, especially after them finding out about each other and talking between themselves they eventually decide a threesome is the only way to go. This, to the girl who isn't into threesomes, as I said complicated.

With a bit of impromptu sex in a maintenance cupboard at work with a werewolf who howls loudly when he comes and one very erotic dream that leaves her gagging for more.

Then Anthony comes round and after showing some of his sexual prowess he drops his bombshell that in fact he is a vampire, getting interesting, oh yes, but no way was this going to stop Chloe enjoying his gorgeous body all she could say was:

" Bite me," I whispered, "Bite me and fuck me."

and also they have a murderer to find, yep.

With all this hot hot sex the decision for the first threesome came up.

“Flesh joined, we fucked, I sucked, and our pleasure mounted. Pants, groans, and moans accompanied the sound of my slurping and flesh slapping. So fucking decadent. So amazingly good. So....... Incredible.”

But there is still that murderer to find.

Really great read. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Had a good giggle along the way as well and just lurrved the sex.

Ms Langlais hats off to you, a definite 5*.

Love In Between (Love 1) – Sandi Lynn

Reviewed by Donna ~ 3 to 3.5 Stars

“…It’s called fate, Lily. You were meant to find out about them that day.”

I loved Sandi Lynn’s Forever Black series so was really looking forward to this one. Whilst I loved the characters I just felt that I hadn’t really connected with them throughout this story, I just didn’t feel the emotion that I usually feel with Sandi’s writing. I like to engage with the couple, feel what they feel and live through what they are dealing with, but I just didn’t feel it with this one and that left me feeling a bit disappointed. If I had to guess, I would have also said that this had been written before the Forever Black series, maybe it has? The writing style seemed weaker, a lot of things were spelled out for you as if the author was trying to force you to see what she wanted you to see, whereas normally the words and story alone should do this for you. I must say though that humour was prevalent throughout this book and there were a lot of laughing out loud moments and this really added to my enjoyment of this book.

However, I really enjoyed the story despite the above. Luke and Lily were great characters, both broken for different reasons and that despite the initial “I don’t really like you,” you could tell that they were suited for each other and maybe just maybe they could help pull each other through all the crap that they were both dealing with. I had my fingers crossed for these two.

Firstly, I have to say, the beginning is a real WTF moment. If my sister did that to me, she would be “dead” to me too, so I can totally see where Lily comes from here. The part that I struggle with the most is the mothers attitude. She was your daughter, no matter what, that comes first and foremost and no mother in their right mind would do what she did, whatever the motive. I would have disowned her too…so therefore, yes, I was totally on board with Lily leaving and finding a new life for herself.

Luke, totally and utterly emotionally shut down, tragic past that he has yet to come to terms with. I loved this guy. I loved the interaction he had with his niece, totally and utterly adorable. Even though he was down, he never let it show to her and did everything he could to support her and his sister, he was truly admirable.

I loved the side characters, especially Sam. Glad that he found love too, although why Lily thought he was gay I don’t know.

So back to Lily and Luke, they have a lot to work through, a lot of internal struggles. Lily needs to learn to trust and Luke just needs to learn to move on and open himself up again. Will these two be strong enough for each other? Can the past be dealt with so that a future together can become reality?

“…because when you are not with me, I feel like life has stopped until you’re by my side again.”

I will be reading the next in the series as I have my theories and I want to see if they play out the way I think. I would like to think that their story is far from over and am hoping that I “feel” them in the next instalment.

“I’ll be there with you. I’ll be there for you, and I’ll be there to catch you if you fall.”

Reviewed by Willow & Donna ~ 4.5 Stars

"Love is the best thing that will ever happen to you Aly"

Willow: I have to admit that this was the first AL Jackson book I have read, and I totally loved it. I'd lost my reading mojo and haven't actually read for months, I'd tried books but just couldn't get in to them so gave up, but this one I just couldn't stop, I was totally drawn in and I love AL's writing. This definitely will not be the last book of hers I'll read.

Donna: I am the opposite, I have read all of her books and I was eagerly awaiting this one! I thoroughly enjoyed it and was hooked from the first page.

Willow: The book is about two old friends who haven't seen each other for years.  Aleena, known as Aly, a good kind girl who feels like something is missing in her life and Jared, an extremely tortured soul who after sometime away comes back to his home town. You know something bad has happened which is why he was "sent away" and they lost touch, but you aren't told why straight away. I love these kinds of books where as you read on slowly little bits are dripped out to you for you to piece bits together.

Donna: I had my thoughts throughout as to what I thought had happened and I wasn't that far off. The thing I loved about this book was the friends to lovers aspect. These two were friends for years before they were estranged. I loved hearing of the tales of them growing up and how Jared was so protective of her even as a child.

Willow: Yes the flash backs were a great insight into their relationship when they were younger and you could see they cared about each other then.
I loved that it was dual POV. That you got to see how both sides were feeling about their renewed friendship that was changing into more.

Donna: I thought it was great how their reconnection was almost instantaneous. It was like they had never been apart. They were soul mates that was clear and they just had this pull to each other that was so strong. Aleena was the person that he needed to pull him out of his internal struggles, they were complete when they were together.

"I'm so fucked up Aly and I'm always going to be. I warned you that you can't fix me and you can't. I'm never going to outlive or out run this shit"

Willow: I totally agree, I thought it was sad though that with Jared being a bad boy and Aly's older brothers best friend, Aly and Jared are forced to keep their growing closeness a secret. Though I think because they were sneaking around at night it made their time together more sacred, more intimate. But it wasn't all smiles and roses, Jared believing that he doesn't deserve happiness after what he's done is constantly pushing away and Aly is constantly trying to pull him closer. AL really made me feel the emotion of this and although I did connect with both characters, it was actually Jared that I felt the most connection with. I felt tortured whilst reading his parts.

"It was like Jared and I were in this constant tug-of-war that neither of us knew how to play, pushing and pulling, attracting and repelling"

Donna: I totally agree, I was emotionally spent throughout this book, there we loads of tears! My heart broke for Jared. He did not deserve the guilt he had and the self loathing. I just wanted to smother him in hugs and kisses, a bit like Aly's mum did...man that scene broke me, lots of tears!!

Willow: Oh god, yes that scene was hard, he thought everyone hated him for what he did, or at least that he deserved everyone hating him. I literally held my breath when they saw each other, not knowing how she was going to react.

Although there were other characters in this book, Christopher Aly's brother and Megan her friend, it was all just totally focused on Jared and Aly which I totally loved, sometimes it is nice to have side stories, but this book just didn't need it.

Donna: I know and I totally agree. It made their story that much more meaningful and intense. The chemistry between them was palpable and it radiated off the page. I felt that Christopher must have been blind to not have noticed their connection but I guess he was to busy being a manwhore. AL certainly brings out all your emotions in this book, I found this book extremely heartfelt and I was well and truly sucked in. I really didn't want this book to finish.

Willow: I didn't want it to finish either, but let's talk about the ending - I love that there was a little twist in there that just made their relationship mean so much more than you realise as you're reading. But man, AL can make your heart break!! The sadness I felt was off the scale at one point.

Donna: I felt like she had ripped my heart out many a time in this book. The deserted lot he used to go to have his breakdowns is one prime example. But yes the twists and turns kept you on your toes and Aly really was his guardian angel and soul mate. It was that connection that made their relationship that much more believable and I did feel like a voyeur at times as I was so connected to their story.

Willow: I loved this book and looking forward to the next in the series and I'll definitely be reading AL 's other books.

"I see beauty and pain, joy and sorrow. I see the good and the bad....and I love it all"

After waiting ten minutes in Victor’s kitchen, and another ten minutes in my car as it rumbled loudly in the driveway, the princess is finally seated in the black leather bucket seat beside me, arms crossed and looking none too happy about her predicament.

“You going to sit there and pout like a spoiled brat not getting her own way, or you actually going to talk to me?” I look over at the raven haired woman in my passenger seat who still has my groin tight and my breath lost.

She looks my way and scowls. “I don’t even know your name! And anyway, why would I want to talk to one of my father’s underlings who probably doesn’t know his head from his ass? Hell, even your hot ass muscle car is probably paid for with dirty fucking money.” She smirks, and I see it—that spark. The fire that I saw burning in her eyes this morning when we met.

I stop at an intersection and wait for the traffic lights to change. “Seems there are a few things we need to clear up, cupcake. My name is Shay, and this hot ass muscle car is mine and mine alone. No dirty fucking money involved. And I can assure you right now, I definitely know my head from my ass. You know what else?” I lean in towards her ear. “I also know where your ass and head are, and right now one is stuck so far up the other, it’s a wonder you don’t need breath mints.”

Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ More Than Blood (Areane Cross Breeds 1) by Amanda Vyne

Reviewed by Shirley ~ 5 Stars

This book is one very erotic read that will get your blood sizzling. It’s about a love that is outlawed and is based in San Francisco.

This book has two main characters, a Pureblood Vampire a Sanguen House Marshal by the name of Gabriel Ferrar who is one very handsome specimen of a vampire and a female Guardian, a cross breed no less, her name is Kelly Sheridan who worked for Incog. Their first meeting was dynamite.

Murdered cross breed girls were being found and it is this that has brought Gabriel and Kelly working together in a bid to find the murderer, but much to Kelly’s dismay it was not the only thing that they found together…an instant attraction and a mating call no less. In a garage where they had parked up it couldn’t be denied as Gabriel had Kelly over the bonnet…wow!

“Two fingers pinched and pulled and rolled her nipple as the fingers of the opposite hand circled closer and closer to the slit that soaked the silk of her panties.

“This belongs to me.” He breathed against her neck.

This mating is so wrong. Tradition forbade the two types of vampire from ever getting together, but Gabe felt he just had to make this work between them.

They still had the job to do in finding the murderer and he was doing his damnedest to make sure that Gabe and Jelly wouldn’t get him. All the while that this was going on Gabe and Kelly’s attraction was getting stronger.

“Mine Kel.” With an impotent jerk of her hips Kel cried out. “Yes. Yours, just fuck me.” “Mine,” he growled again, then flicked his tongue over her top lip tracing the edge of her fangs.

After some amazing love making, Kelly thought…

“As the world went dark was that this blood stuff rocked.”

Gabe and Kelly’s bonding only gets better and better, wow, the only thing is the traditional vampires in his House. It’s the cause of so much wrong doing against all the crossbreeds.

What a great book, I read it all in one sitting and I couldn’t put it down and I will definitely be reading more of this series.

A resounding 5 stars Ms Vyne.

There's only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that's husbands who cheat on their wives.

There's only one problem in Sophie Black's life. Her cheating husband...

From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.

Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from Kitty French, a romance so hot it'll burn your fingers...

CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he's built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until Sophie Black, that is...

From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien Knight's PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the rabbit hole. Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red, glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.

Lucien strips away all of Sophie's inhibitions, and when he instructs her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of Monopoly on his mind...

He's opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go? And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?

Lucien & Sophie's is a story of star crossed love and forbidden passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives forever. Let it change yours, too.

Excerpt from Knight & Play:

He wasn’t a man given to romance, but the perfect weight of this woman in his arms
and the majesty of the skies above them filled him with an unexpected sense of peace.
Moments later he carried her through the quiet rooms of his home with her head on
his shoulder, and by the time he lowered her down onto the bed, she was asleep, tear
tracks still just visible on her cooling pink cheeks. When he brushed a blonde strand
of hair out of her eyes she sighed and turned her face into his palm, looking for
comfort in his touch even as she slept.
Long buried emotions forced their way to the surface as he curled around her and
spooned her body into his.
Comfort, sweeter than he’d ever found from a woman’s touch.
Fear, spikier than he’d felt for anyone since the day his mother had died.
Anger, sharper than he’d sensed it since the last time he’d laid eyes on his father.
Bile rose in his throat at the thought of the man whose actions had driven his mother
to her death.
How dare Sophie’s husband push her to this?
How could he put her at risk for the sake of a cheap thrill?
As Sophie’s husband and Lucien’s father meshed together in his mind, he tightened
his hold around her pliant, sleeping form. The quilt settled soft and warm over their
shoulders, and he fought to match his heartbeat to her slow, steady breathing pattern.
There was only one thought in his mind as sleep claimed him.
He would protect this woman.
He wouldn’t fail again.

Excerpt from Knight & Stay:

"You didn't come to work on Monday."
Sophie placed the mugs on the table and sat down opposite Lucien.
"Did you seriously expect me to?"
He lifted one shoulder, as if bemused she even needed to ask. "Yes."
She shook her head. He couldn't be serious. "You hit my husband."
"Do you expect me to apologise? He deserved it." Lucien worked hard to maintain his casual bearing but the expression in his eyes went from cool to lava hot, leaving Sophie well aware of how on edge he was.
"You had no right." Sophie's fingernails bit into her palms as her fists tightened. "I wanted to do things my way. You took away my choices."
She watched him digest her words and for the briefest moment, saw uncertainty flicker in his eyes. "Choices?" He leaned forward and drummed his fingers on the table. "Way I see it, you didn't have any choices to make, Sophie. Your husband's a lowlife, you needed rid of him."
Sophie mirrored his rigid stance across the table. "And there you go again, making my decisions for me."
A pulse flickered along the hard set of his clenched jaw.
"I thought you'd make the wrong one."
"So you made it for me."
He leaned back, folding his arms defiantly across his chest.
"I'm not sorry."
"Men never are." Sophie regretted the cheap generalisation the moment it left her lips, but the last fewdays had left her more than a little jaded.
"I'm not like him, Sophie." Lucien's words were spoken so softly that Sophie only just caught them.
"No. No, you're not like him," she spat. "You're your very own brand of fucked up, Lucien."

Knight 3

Kara Brookes hates liars.

Dylan Day hasn’t told the truth from the moment his plane touched down in Ibiza.

It’s a recipe for disaster.

Lucien and Sophie are back, and have set up camp on the sun-drenched isle of Ibiza for the opening of the latest of Lucien’s strictly adult clubs.

They’re joined for the summer by Sophie’s best friend Kara, and Dylan Day, Lucien’s newly appointed club manager. The laid back, smokin’ hot surf guy from California seems almost too good to be true… but there’s no smoke without fire. It’s going to be a long hot summer of love, lust, lies and wedding bells. But who will get their happy ever after?

Romantic, emotional and intensely erotic, Knight & Day is the thrilling final installment of the USA Today bestselling Knight Series from Kitty French.

Our Review:

“To the moon and back, English.”

I have loved this series and especially our Lucien and Sophie, whilst they are featured in this book, they are more background characters to Kara and a new love interest called Dylan Day. However, Lucien and Sophie’s story is wrapped up nicely in this instalment and I love the new kid on the block Dylan Day. I did devour this book in a few hours as it is quite short but what it lacked in length it gave to us in humour, in spades and I was laughing my head off on more than one occasion, I really “got” the sense of humour in this one and adored Kara.

Kara is Sophie’s best friend and business partner, she has been lied to all her life, firstly from her father and then her long time fiancĂ©. This culminated in her being jilted at the altar and left her extremely broken. The one thing that she insists upon is honesty, but firstly she needs to mend that broken heart, is Dylan Day the man for the job?

“I meant every word of it, Dylan Day. Lie to me and I’ll cut your cock off and pickle it.”

Dylan Day…what can I say…the guy is adorable, I loved the emails to and fro from his mom, he is a mommy’s boy and that is no bad thing. He has a lot of skeletons, he has a lot of guilt (even though he shouldn’t, he just wanted a new life…so he leaves the US and comes to Ibiza. Here he meets Lucien and Dylan having owned his own club before, falls on his feet when Lucien takes a chance and offers him the job of club manager. Lucien could tell that Dylan was being a bit vague and most probably a bit economical with the truth in his less than formal job interview, but going on his gut instinct, that has never let him down yet, he gives Dylan a chance.

It doesn’t take long for Kara and Dylan to meet and before long the chemistry between these two is off the charts, they are at it like rabbits, anytime, anyplace and anywhere. You could see the real “Dylan” slowly come out to Kara and you could slowly see Kara open up and learn to trust once again, they brought out the best in each other. However, Dylan has escaped his “old life” by coming to Ibiza, will this past come back to haunt him or will it stay firmly on American soil? Will he open up to Kara enough before it is too late?

“You fit me, Kara,” he said. “You know every fucked up part of me, and you still see someone you can love.”

I really enjoyed this one but I must admit my favourite is still book 2. This was a quick and easy read and as I said above did wrap up Lucien and Sophie’s story beautifully. I loved learning more about Kara and she truly was a fun and fab best friend to Sophie, as was Sophie and Lucien to Kara. Lucien saw Kara as a sister and was fiercely protective and this came across well when he was talking to Dylan. The part I loved the most about this book though was Lucien and Dylan’s friendship. I truly got their connection in this book and the friendship they had was truly built on that initial gut instinct that Lucien had and thankfully Dylan did not prove it wrong. One of my favourite scenes in this book was a Lucien and Dylan scene and I have included their conversation below.

“I know this kind of talk makes you freak out, but I’m gonna say it anyway,” Dylan said, laughing softly. “I fuckin’ love you, man.”

“Jesus Christ,” Lucien muttered…He met Dylan’s eye in a moment of silent acknowledgement, then shuddered despite the warmth of the evening. “And now I feel like we just had sex.” He knocked his bourbon back in one huge slug, and Dylan turned away to hide his smile. (you can’t beat a bit of male bonding!)

Once again, a fab read Kitty. I am sad to see the end of these characters but cannot wait to see what stories you have in store for us next.
