Book Description:

For Nora Medina it started when she was yanked off a gorgeous Hawaiian beach, still in her bikini top, and onto her ex-husband’s government jet. A microbiologist doesn’t see a lot of emergency extractions, but marriage to Deacan Devlin McDougall taught her plenty about adrenaline. Nora knows it’s more than their unfinished business that has brought the sexy, maddening Scot back into her life. But she’d never have guessed this.

As a soldier of fortune, Deke has seen too much by any standards. But the terrifying bacterium sneaking through the highest halls of power isn’t his kind of battle. All he can do is keep close to his brilliant, fiery Nora and fight like hell to keep her safe. Because if he lets her get sucked down by the horror that’s coming, he’ll never get another chance at her heart . . .

This book has romance, sexy sizzling loving but also a kick in the tail, disaster at its worst. A bacterium like no other has been let loose on the American population and they are going all out to combat it. This was why Nora Medina; a leading microbiologist was yanked off a Hawaiian beach by soldiers and put on her ex-husbands jet.

The ex-husband Deacon Devlin McDougall was a Scot who had come to America when he was sixteen and had been in the marines and now working for the President. He has a very big problem on his hands and he needed Nora to help sort it out. And on the plus side he will be in Nora's company again giving him the opportunity to win her back. He wasn't the young man with anger issues any more. He was now all grown up and he desperately wanted her back.

The story is about a catastrophe that has been unleashed quite innocently with devastating results and shows how Nora and her friend, Lynne from the CDC, fight with all their knowledge to combat it. But, also running through it is the hot attraction between Nora and Deacon which ignites whenever they hit the bedroom.

It started with Deacon daring Nora to have dinner with him and a kiss. Nora agreed to the dinner but not the kiss. This didn't deter Deacon in the slightest, he quickly grabbed Nora, thinking he would take it slow but as soon as their lips met it was out of his control.

“His lips covered hers, and he drove his tongue inside, swallowing her instant moan. Fire. Lava heated his blood, everything he was on fire.”

Only Nora could create this in him. And at the agreed dinner in his apartment it went from a kiss to scorching lovemaking.

“Her body went taunt, and her head pushed back against his hold, her neck elongating. Spasms rippled around him, gripping with a fierce hold. He changed his angle, brushing her clit, and she went off again, crying his name.”

The story is really great showing what could happen which would be frightening. It has plenty of action in and outside the bedroom. This is very good Ms Zanetti. Another hit on your hands I think.
