About the Author:

I've worked in property management for the last decade. I've been married to my soul mate and gentle giant for 12.5 years. He has never been, nor will he ever be, the romantic type. However, we still have a very passionate marriage and we love each other fiercely. I NEVER wake up in the morning or go to sleep at night without a kiss. We have two beautiful children and a Blue Tick Beagle named Sadie.

My passion for reading has transitioned into a strong desire to tell my own stories. While elements of my writing are pulled from events throughout my own life, the rest is simply my imagination running wild.

I am also very passionate about music. I love all genres, but I'm a country girl at heart so of course, it's my fav. I speak my mind and I'm not afraid to say what other's are thinking...sometimes this little character trait can be considered a fault, but I don't care. I'm honest, I like things simple and I love to laugh and have fun.

Sub Genre: Contemporary
Release Date: 1st June 2013

Book Description:

I'm strong, I'm passionate, I'm free.

Maybe both with a little bit of crazy
I know I'll fail, I'm selfish, self-centered and shallow. I just hope he's prepared for when I do.

This is our story, it has: a Channing Tatum poster, a long lost brother, a bony blonde and a promiscuous female friend, plus a hot shot star and the one and only sinus blocker Sylvia. Now throw in a crazy lady and a man who would do anything for her (meaning myself and James) and you have our story. Or the first part of it.

Little bits is a character series. After book two you will be introduced to a new character and story.

Excerpt:

The morning drags, I’m constantly glancing at the clock yet it barely moved when it felt like an hour had gone since the last minute ticked. I decide to finish up what little I have to do and get most of it done right before the phone rings. Security has alerted Margie that James has entered the building. Commencing evil laugh, full blast. Now all I need is a fluffy white cat. Or grey, the grey ones are cuter.

I dash out of my office and into the waiting elevator. As soon as I reach his floor Carlson bursts out laughing, having seen my handy work and motions for me to hide under his desk. It’s a large U shaped desk that you can’t see underneath unless you walk around the back which James never does apparently.

I squeeze in between drawers and wires, next to Carlson’s legs. He’s struggling to compose himself so naturally I pinch him hard on his upper thigh.

“The elevator’s just opened,” he whispers and begins typing on his computer. “Good morning James. You have a meeting at nine in the morning with Jonathon Brigg. He says it’s urgent.”

“Thanks Carlson.” James replies. I hear his door open, then close. Wait for it. Carlson’s leg begins bouncing, I’m stifling my laughter in my hand but my entire body is shaking. Wait for it. “WHAT THE?” A loud animal like roar sounds from his office and James comes storming out. “What the fuck happened to my office?”

“What are you talking about?” Carlson asks, feigning confusion. That man should be an actor. I almost believe him.

“Everything has been taped to the fucking ceiling! Who’s been…? Maya.”

“I warned you she wouldn’t like you changing her name behind her back,” Carlson chuckled and climbs out of his seat. “I think she’s in her office.”

“I’m going to murder her. I swear that woman pushes every single button I have!”

Too right I do.

“I’ll hold your calls,” Carlson replies and I hear the elevator ding. “Quick, go, go, go, go.”

I laugh and run from behind my desk. Unfortunately the elevator doors aren’t fully closed and I hear James shout my name as I dash for the stairs. My legs propel me forward, even in heels it’s skillful how fast I’m leaping from stair to stair. “MAYA!” I hear him shout and footsteps follow behind. “Get your ass here now.”

“Go away,” I laugh and burst into the eight floor hallway. A few people look at me startled. I ignore them and press the button for the elevator. “Come on…” It dings open only moments later. I jump in and press the button for the lobby. The doors shut just as James slides around the corner, a proper movie screen moment.

The travel down to the lobby seems to be the longest one ever. When the doors open I sigh with relief and step out into the busy area. “MAYA!” I hear a shouting James from somewhere near the stairwell. I can tell he’s breathless. Damn he’s fast.

All heads turn to me and I catch my husband’s eyes. The green is dark, so dark they’re almost black. He’s furious and potentially horny, hell yes. I gulp at the sight of his clenched jaw and take off squealing. “I’m sorry! You totally deserved it!” I shout over my shoulder.

People start laughing as warm arms catch me around the waist and I’m thrown over his shoulder. “Put me down you caveman! This is not professional!” I pound his back as people watch in amusement. Some of them are laughing some are trying not to others are clucking and rolling their eyes. “James.” He bumps me up, heading towards the elevator but not before slapping my ass hard in front of everyone. Now that was kinky. “Put me down you big oaf.”

He completely ignores me, I stop struggling and sag against his back. I feel like Princess Fiona except my Shrek is hot as fuck and turning me the hell on. Also he’s not green.

I can feel his anger coming off him in waves, his frustration heating his body to an unbearably sexy temperature. “Oof,” I grunt as he bunks me up again and heads towards my office.

“Hey Margie,” he says as if nothing is wrong at all.
She bursts out laughing at the ridiculous sight before her. James marches straight into my office, slams me on the couch and locks the door. All the air is knocked out of me as my back hits the leather.

About the Author:

I'm 22 and I've been writing since I could hold a pen in my hand! I love to write, it’s my passion, and I never stop. In fact I love to write so much I have started over one hundred and fifty different books before finally completing my first ever novel 'A Little Bit of Crazy' which I published this month. I was grateful when I received feedback as it helps me be a better writer.

When I'm not writing, I love spending time with my family and when I get some spare time (not easy with young children!) It’s either reading or listening to music. You won’t find me without a book or my Kindle in my hand. I read whilst I’m cooking, cleaning, talking, walking… you could say reading is my other passion!

Although I base my books in America I am in fact a British author (I live in the north East of England). I chose to set my books in America as although I love England, I also love all things American and I have read a lot of American novels and as I love a challenge, I decided to write in an American voice! Studying the differences between Britain and America has been fascinating to say the least, even something as simple as remembering our chips are their fries and our crisps are their chips was a challenge! I’m pretty sure you’ll still find some Briticisms in my book and if you do, drop me a line (contact details below) to correct me!

Chapter One

Second thoughts don’t belong in a boxing ring.

Jeremy Kater held his ground even as his head snapped back beneath the gloved fist of the man he’d hired to teach him the basics of boxing. What had seemed like an essential component of his transformation was proving to be more painful than he’d anticipated.

He had just raised his gloves to try and block the next hit to his face when his opponent took advantage of the movement and punished his unprotected abdomen with enthusiasm. Ray Denton was a legend in the world of boxing. Not only had he reigned as the world champion heavyweight boxer for several years during his youth, but after his retirement he had gone on to train more than one fighter who had won the same title.

You’d think that a man like that would be happy to give beginner lessons for a generous fee. However, convincing Ray to work with an amateur had been no easy feat. But Jeremy wasn’t a quitter. He’d countered every refusal with an offer of more compensation until he’d reached a number that Ray hadn’t been able to dismiss.

Years of playing Mighty Punch-Out on his vintage game console hadn’t prepared him for the reality of a trained professional. Nor had his one actual fistfight during his senior year of high school given him any skill when it came to breaching the defenses of the man who was currently dancing around him, easily blocking his punches, and landing almost every one of his physical rebuttals.

Another swing, another miss, another failed attempt to block what felt like a sledgehammer to his skull. Jeremy shook his head to clear it. The room spun and tilted. He took a step back to steady himself.

I probably should have waited until after the first lesson to pay him, Jeremy thought. At least he would have had incentive to make sure I survived it.

He’d expected his first lesson to include agility work, maybe some shadowboxing. He’d read how boxers used uppercut bags and speed bags to work on resistance. He’d even looked forward to an introductory light sparring match.

This was something entirely different.

The next well-placed hit sent Jeremy to his knees. He sat back on his heels, braced himself, and gasped for air. Ray’s face twisted with satisfaction, and Jeremy saw the ugly truth in his eyes.

He wants me to fail.

He thinks I don’t belong here.

He’s wrong.

Regaining his footing, Jeremy adjusted his headgear, clamped his teeth down on his mouth bit, raised his hands, and swung, a bit wildly, at his opponent. But Ray was too fast for him. Two quick jabs and a cross sent Jeremy stumbling backward against the rope of the ring. Whatever Herculean strength he’d hoped would surface in response to this beating was sadly absent. Even the sting of the blows lessened as they became more severe and his body weakened. His new challenge was no longer his opponent but a growing numbness.

Before he could pull himself off the ropes, a blur of feminine fury flew past him and took a protective stance in front of him.

Jeisa. Barely as tall as the boxer’s shoulders and chicly dressed in a sleeveless black jumper, oversized sunglasses, and high heels, his image consultant looked ridiculously out of place in the ring. She flipped her thick, dark mane of hair over one shoulder and waved a hand aggressively at Ray, who seemed momentarily surprised into inaction. Her normally light Brazilian accent thickened as she said, “Stop! He’s had enough.”

Jeremy pushed himself off the ropes. Although he appreciated her concern, he didn’t want her in the ring. This was between Ray and him. Jeisa may have been able to advise him in many other areas of his ongoing transformation, but not in this one.

He didn’t expect her to understand why he needed to be here.

He didn’t expect anyone to.

Ray looked Jeisa over, whistled in appreciation, and said, “You’re one lucky bastard.”

Jeisa stepped closer to the boxer and snarled, “And you are a poor example of a trainer.”

As Ray’s jaw tightened at her evaluation, Jeremy quickly intervened. He put a gloved hand on one of Jeisa’s shoulders and turned her around gently. “I told you not to come, Jeisa. This doesn’t involve you.”

Jeisa spun fully on Jeremy. She gripped his arm and said urgently, “If you want self-defense classes, I can sign you up for karate or something less violent.”

In a mocking tone, Ray said, “You should listen to your girlfriend.”

“She’s not my girlfriend.” This is for Alethea.

The trainer’s eyebrows lifted as he assessed Jeisa for a second time. He winked at her and drawled, “Then maybe she’ll be mine.”

Something in the man’s tone made Jeremy straighten to his full height. A rush of adrenaline seared through him. He met and held Ray’s eyes. Without glancing down at Jeisa, Jeremy ordered, “Jeisa, get out of the ring.”

“But . . .” she said.

“Get out.”

With obvious reluctance, Jeisa slid between the ropes back to the area around the ring. “Fine,” she said, “kill yourself if you want to. You’re right—I shouldn’t have come. I’m leaving.” But she didn’t. He knew she wouldn’t.

A dark emotion he didn’t take the time to identify surged within him, and he went at Ray with renewed force. Ray saw him coming, but he underestimated the momentum his nearly beaten opponent had mustered. Jeremy landed one punishing hit to the boxer’s face.

The two men circled each other. Jeremy met the boxer’s aggression with his own. Ray might knock him out, but he would not force him to back down. Ray threw a punch at Jeremy’s abdomen. Jeremy surprised him by blocking him and then retaliating. His punch connected and set the boxer back a step.

Then everything changed.

Ray’s face went red with fury. Trainer turned fighter, and Jeremy prepared himself for what he knew was going to be a very painful rebuttal. Heaving for air, Jeremy planted his feet with determination. There’d been times in the past when he’d allowed the opinions of others to hold him back.

This was not one of those times.

Excerpt:

His eyes flickered beneath closed lids as a mist formed inside his dream. Before him, a
heavenly vision appeared; a female he hadn’t seen since he was a young demon. He looked
around and quickly realized he was in a place he hadn’t seen in eons, either. Not since before
he’d gotten sucked into The Master's servitude. He frowned, confused.

“Why am I here, Sera? Miss me so much you just had to come to me in Sleepy Land?” he
smirked, hiding his true feelings beneath his shining personality. In truth, he was suddenly a riot
of emotions, emotions he thought he’d buried deep a long time ago.

He froze as her small, graceful hand reached out to him. And as she floated closer, he had
absolutely no idea what to do.

"You know why you’re here, Cole," she murmured tentatively.

“Can't say that I do,” he countered, purposely playing dumb.

"Your words pain me. Do you truly not remember us?" Genuine sorrow belied her small
pout.

“Oh, I remember lots of things, like there being no ‘us.’ There hasn't been an ‘us’ for a
hundred years.” He took a deep breath, careful not to show any emotion as she came ever closer.

“So I ask again, why am I here? What do you want?”

Her big, ethereal eyes blinked at his harshness. "Why do you act this way? Are you not
happy to see me again?" She took a step back, sad confusion dimming her gaze.

Cole shook his head. “I'm not the green, stupid youth I once was. I’m something your kind
hates. So why now, after all this time, have you decided to come to me?” His voice grew darker
as he pinned her with a glare. “Wait. Don't tell me. You've fallen so now you can lower your
standards. I wasn't good enough for you, remember Sera? You left me, not the other way
around.”

He turned with a growl and ran a hand through his hair. What the hell? His life was a cluster
fuck from one extreme to the other. He looked back at Sera and his heart pinched at the sight. So
clearly he remembered that week they spent together. Naïve he had been, but not so jaded as he
was now.

He started to pace, shaking his head in frustration. What was she doing back in his world
again? He wasn’t going to let her permanently uproot a part of him he’d repressed so deep he’d
in any other situation need a shovel to find again. After all he'd been through since then she’d left
him, and all he was presently going through, he really didn’t need this.

As he stopped in front of her, he got a whiff of her scent. Fresh and sweet, like morning
dew. He nearly groaned, growing instantly hard. Abruptly he grabbed her shoulders,
intentionally forcing her into her physical form. “Why, Sera? Why now?”
