Blog Tour ~ AngiuSH by Lila Felix

Our Review:

I love Lila’s writing and this book is no exception. I beg anyone to read this book and NOT fall in love with Breaker James…he is just….adorable….broken….romantic….I could go on. I felt so sorry for him, I just wanted to give him a cuddle, hold him close and say there there it will all be OK. I could not understand how a perceivably strong man could get himself into that state to begin with over some old trollop, but illness is never something we can ever foresee or control, it is what it is!

Breaker James is agoraphobic and has been for 2 years, ever since he caught his girlfriend cheating on him at a party, he was so mortified that he went into his shell, became a recluse that ultimately resulted in him never leaving the house for over 2 years, it then became apparent that he could not leave the house even if he wanted to.

His mum (her heart is in the right place) decides that she has had enough of Breaker being a recluse, a slob, living in filth and a hermit, she wants her son back. Initially, just getting a cleaner was the idea until Ash walks in, she could see her feisty nature and after doing a background check found out that she had experience dealing with mental health issues with her mum, she therefore decides to hire Ash as a live in cleaner/maid and also pays her extra to sort Breaker out.

She moves in and soon gets Breaker shifting his butt, her no nonsense attitude soon rubs off on him and the rest is history….you’ll just have to read about it.

“I’m gonna be wearing a pair of shorts tomorrow. Try not to pick a perch and stare at my ass all day like you did when I was cleaning.” She winked at me and walked out. And I thought I’d been so stealth about the whole thing. Damn, I was so wrong.

Ash, she was lovely, she has a rambling mouth, her mouth engages before her brain does, she screeches rather than talks much to most peoples annoyance, therefore she does not have many friends. They are far too shallow to see past the voice and the rambling to appreciate what is underneath.

“Back out? Back out? I think you need some damned perspective. You’ve always assumed that this was all about you. Let me set you straight. You see the parts of me that I’d learned to hate and called them heaven. You listened to the words that others complained about and begged me to talk to you more. You see me Breaker. The world sees my voice and my incessant blabbing and my clingy social skills, but you see me. So this isn’t all about you, your Highness.”

This is a true YA book, there is no hot steamy sex scenes just lots of hugs and making out, it is not that kind of book, if you want just a cutesy romantic read then this is it!!

“You’re killing me Breaker. If you don’t kiss me, I’m gonna lose it”.

“……..I take a second and just look at the glory. You taught me that. We’d finish something and then we’d take a step back to look at the glory. So take a step back Ash—all I see is glory.”

Loved it, can’t wait to see what Lila gives us next!
