Thank you, Donna! Thanks for having me over! :)
Music played a huge part in Real, was the music included what you would normally listen to or did you have to find the song to fit the scene?
I love listening to music while I write. Sometimes, my iPod is on shuffle and I hardly hear what is playing, but in REAL I did feel like the important songs just jumped at me. But, the most important two songs they play to each other, those they definitely put me to work so that I found the right ones. It was amazing how I felt the instant I played each one and knew I'd found them!
Remy is my number 1 book boyfriend I absolutely LOVE him!! Who is your number 1 book boyfriend and why?
I've had many book boyfriends starting with my very first, Clayton Westmoreland from Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught! But right now I really can't have another book boyfriend when I have Remy. He's my only one. I'm not just trying to sell my book, but when I sat down REAL and met him, I just never imagined who he was, that he was so complex, so strong and yet so vulnerable, so driven and passionate, fierce and primal, so captivating, consuming, and beautiful. He changed the way I hear music. He changed me in so many ways.
Remy obviously has his issues that make him even more loveable, are his issues a personal experience as they were so well written and believable?
I feel really passionately about everyone who suffers from any form or shape of mental illness, and I feel very strongly about anyone who's been beat down by life, and brushes it off, and gets up and keeps fighting. I believe we all deserve to love and be loved and Remy embodies this gentle fighter perfectly.
Real was your debut book, what has been the most challenging part of getting it to be where it is today?
The most challenging part was just learning to find my way through the Indie world. Reaching out to the bloggers who I'd never met, and who didn't know me, offering my book up to be read and praying they'd be interested in reading. They were! I've met so many amazing bloggers, writer friends, and readers, I can't express how much I appreciate all of you!
You are really interactive with your fans, (I know I am one of them in the LLF lol) are you surprised at how the fans have reacted to your characters and yourself?
Donna, yes, I really am! I love all of you. I love my LLFs, my readers, everyone I have met since REAL debuted has impacted my life in so many beautiful ways. You touch me, and I'm touched that you let REAL touch you too like it touched me. Thanks for being so supportive, such passionate, loyal, devoted readers. I will always hope to engage you with my stories. :)
