Friday Frights ~ PNR Reviews ~ Leopold's Wicked Embrace (Immortals of New Orleans) by Kym Grosso

This is a fabulous read in a really great series. I have read all of the series and gave a review for the very first book which I thought was brilliant as I do this one.

This book concerns itself with the vampire Leopold, a thousand year old master who has seen and done just about everything and his meeting with Laryssa, a beauty in her own right.

It starts with the kidnapping of a wolf cub that had been left to die in the snow and Leopold finding and rescuing the cub. Leopold takes the cub back to New Orleans and puts it in the care of the local Acadian Wolf Pack, friends he had made since being there.

Along the way, the beauty, Laryssa is brought to his notice and this is where the attraction these two feel for each other begins. It has been a very long time since a woman has piqued Leopold’s interest, but Laryssa certainly does. She is the owner of a local antique shop, and this is where he first meets her proper, after a quick first chance meeting in the local club he frequents, catching her from a tumble off her chair which causes a sizzling feeling when he touched her, surprising Leopold.

The story that these two are involved in slowly develops as do the attraction these two share. At one stage it is prudent for Laryssa to stay at Leopold’s home, and this is where things got interesting causing them to share a very sensual shower.

“He yanked her hard against him, putting more pressure against her aching nub.

"I'm going to take you every way I want, my sweet. I don't care what you are. I just need to be so far in you that you never forget this night."”

And he did, wow, but he also learnt something about himself he never thought would happen… interesting.

Laryssa was seeing another side of life brought on by what is going on around her which was quite the eye opener to say the least, but having Leopold around certainly helped.

“You’re the most beautiful creature I’ve ever known," he breathed into her skin. "I want you so much, Leo,” Laryssa managed as she writhed against his growing arousal, she could feel the length of him through the thin silk barrier.

"F**k me now. I can’t wait. Please.”

And what a lover he was phew.

I cannot say too much about the story as I don't want to spoil the reading of the book, but I can tell you that you will really enjoy it.

Ms Grosso you have done it again, brilliant book, and I would advise readers to read the whole series, it is that good.
