Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ Blood Therapy (Kismet Knight Vampire Psychologist Book 2) by Lynda Hilburn

This is the second book in this amazing series. The series shows vampires in a different light, in the sense that some of them are just as mucked up as individuals as us humans.

It tells you about the very hazardous life of the very attractive human psychologist Dr Kismet Knight. Not only does she try to help these vampire patients that she sees in her professional life, but she also has in her personal life the up and down relationship with the Master of all vampires and his name is Devereux, who is one very sensual, hot looking imposing guy.

Devereux who at 800 years old, tall, with blue green eyes, long platinum blonde hair and who dresses all in leather, looks like a fallen angel with the face to go with it.

Poor Kismet, what with trying to sort out her vampire patients problems, she also has an enemy who is doing his best to terrorize her, which is keeping things very jumpy. Not only has Kismet got the affection of Devereux, but a certain FBI forensic psychologist is showing a lot of interest in her as well which certainly keeps things interesting.

There is lots going on in this book which will keep you engrossed from cover to cover, but the main characters Kismet and Devereux also keep you guessing as to what's going to happen next, especially in their love life. With Devereux being his normal autocratic self, being the head honcho for so long over the vampire world, he doesn't know how to have a modern relationship which is driving Kismet up the wall, but that vampire still gets to her every time she is in his company.

“There's that amazing aroma. Spicy. Earthy. Sensual. Edible.”

Yes that's Devereux, he totally scrambles my senses. Phew. Although they have known each other for three months, they haven't spent a lot of that time together, because something bad had happened to Devereux which is causing repercussions to this day, which is not boding well with their relationship.

"How dare he tell me he loved me, that I was his mate, then treat me so shittily!"

Telling herself it never was love but control, she shed some more tears. During the book Kismet comes to meet some very famous people which totally puts all her preconceived ideas out of the window and leaves her flabbergasted, this is one of the good things which is going on in her life, but on the other side of the coin, there is a lot of bad, which keeps the pace of this book rolling along brilliantly.

It all comes to a gripping head, but it appears one of the famous people she has met is causing all the mayhem that has been affecting them, but it is good to see not all is bad between Kismet and Devereux they do get to spend some quality time together.

He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine in a sensual kiss. I looped my arms around his neck and pulled him close, taking the kiss deeper. He eased his tongue into my mouth and I opened for him, giving as good as I got.

I am loving this series. This book gives you everything you could wish for. A very enjoyable read and I hope you will love it as much as I did. Well done Ms Hilburn. Great writing.
