And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.

Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.

When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.

But I didn’t.

And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

“There’s only one love that matters more than your first love: Your last love.”

K Bromberg delivers a cute second chance romance with characters, for the first time, away from the Driven Series. Being a huge fan of K Bromberg I was hesitant yet intrigued to see whether she could pull it off, but I needn’t have worried. Once again, K Bromberg delivers two characters that you cannot help but take into your heart and with each page you read, they only bury themselves deeper.

“Now I know why I’ve always compared every woman I’ve ever kissed to you.”

Saylor was a woman from humble beginnings who had fallen in love with a rich guy. With her marriage looming Saylor realises that her fiancé is not the one for her, although she loves him, she is not in love with him and so she makes the hardest decision of her life, she calls it off. Her fiance’s family did not take the news well and from embarrassment began a campaign to ruin her life. Her bakery business was boycotted and her name was slandered all over town. Now, six months later, Saylor receives a wedding invite, her ex-fiancé is getting married. The wedding invite is extremely familiar, the venue is extremely familiar, the details…once again…extremely familiar, only difference was the brides name, it wasn’t hers.

“Never let someone steal your passion.”

Since walking away Saylor has thrown herself into making her bakery, Sweek Cheeks, a resounding success. With the financial and emotional backing of her brother Saylor is still struggling and all because of the backlash. She is emotionally battered, stressed and bitter towards her ex-fiancé’s family. In a moment of madness, she RSVP’s with a plus one, but has no intention of sending it, until her efficient assistant does it for her. So now she is really in a bind and no amount of baking will rescue her from this shit storm.

“They think I want her.
She thinks I don’t.
I know I want her.
I know I can’t.”

Hayes Whitley is an Oscar winning actor and Saylor’s first love. Ten years ago he left to chase his acting dreams without so much as a goodbye and never returned. He decimated her heart and as the saying goes, you never forget your first love. It seems her brother has ideas about the best plus one that Saylor could take and Hayes turns out to be her knight in shining armour, who better to take to your ex-fiancé’s wedding than someone, richer, more famous and definitely more handsome. If they wanted to rub her nose in it, she could rub back twice as hard. The only trouble being, the hurt he caused the first time he left is still extremely painful, could she trust him and most importantly…did she want to?

“There are some things more important than money…and Saylor is one of them.”

I love second chance love and K Bromberg really delivers with Sweet Cheeks. Hayes Whitley was to die for and pulls out all the stops to rectify the mahoosive mistake he made ten years ago. Through reminisicing we are treated to a little of their first love affair, I would have liked a little more but only because they were too cute. It was obvious that these two were meant to be and circumstances and a little hesitation and guilt are what kept them apart. Hayes pulls out all the moves and has an extensive arsenal and to be honest, Saylor didn’t stand a chance.

“…I assure you, the man I grew into knows exactly how to pleasure a woman. I know how to pleasure you.”

This book has some fantastic dialogue, great banter and some hilarious Twitter wars and their texts were just as entertaining. The chemistry between Hayes and Saylor had never waned and it only took them meeting the once for it to reignite. Saylor rightly so is hesitant to trust Hayes with her heart once again, but he soon shows his true colours. While the first time their time wasn’t right, the stars realigned for these two and I was glad I was a witness to their journey. Once again, K Bromberg delivers and I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author.

About the Author:

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.

On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift (Releasing 10/4/16)), and a short story titled UnRaveled. She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out at the end of 2016.

Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (The Player (#1) and The Catch (#2)) and the Everyday Heroes series (Cuffed (#1), Combust (#2), and Cockpit (#3). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
