Cover Design: Perfect Pear Creative Covers
Release Date: February 13, 2017
Book Description:
Life is made up of choices. Single choices like bricks laid out in a path. A path that leads to your future. At twenty four years old, I would have never guessed I would be stuck between two men—two men from opposite spectrums of the universe. Their lives, their worlds, their demeanor is as different as the darkest of nights and the lightest of days. I love them both, but I have to choose. There is only one choice I can make. And I choose forever.

“Life is about choices. And these
choices have consequences.”
Choosing Forever was one of those much-anticipated reads for
me. Mia Kayla left us on a doozie at the end of book one, Torn Between Two and
my mind had been running a mile a minute ever since. I love a good love
triangle with the best of them and even when you think you know what is going
to happen Mia Kayla intimates something, or our heroine does something and you
just know that the story is far from over.
“You’ve been my girl since the
day I slipped that glass slipper onto your foot. You’ve just been slow on the
uptake.”
Normally with a love triangle, you always have a front
runner, one of them is always a clear-cut choice and while these two were
inherently different and total opposites I could see the best in the both. In
fairness, if we were going for the more stable, loving, reliable and down to
earth fit, then Josh would be the winner hands down. But Hawke, for all his
faults, his insecurities and his battles with his inner demons, alcohol and
drugs, I felt actually loved Sam, at least the most love that Hawke was
capable of giving. Hawke trusts no-one, he loves no-one so for him to have
that connection with Sam you always knew that she was special. But as with any
resident bad boy, they always have a knack of ballsing it up and Hawke was the
master at that.
“You’re you, and I can’t change
you, your desire to save people. I wouldn’t want to change you for anything,
Princess. But don’t lose yourself while saving others.”
One thing I never doubted though was that Sam loved the both
of them. Josh was her soul mate, the lawyer, the sensible option, the man that
was always there for her, picked her up when she was down and loved her
unconditionally. Josh had the patience of a saint and was always waiting in the
wings for Sam to make her choice. Josh was like that puppy at the pet shop,
with those ever-hopeful eyes, saying please pick me. I adored everything about
him. Hawke and Sam though had that undeniable chemistry, that sizzle and
crackle that very few get, and yet they still had that platonic chemistry. Sam
grounded Hawke as much as he could be, the lifestyle he had perpetuated his
mistakes, his creative side made him that much more susceptible to outside
influences and his past haunted him constantly. Hawke’s mind was a mess and
his love life wasn’t much better.
“We met where passion forgot
pain.”
This book was certainly a roller coaster of emotions. Mia
Kayla put me through the wringer with this one, there are some fantastic highs
and some incredible lows. What the author giveth one minute she taketh away the
next. I loved, I cried, I was swooning, I was screaming, I was angry, I was sad…see
what I mean, a plethora of emotions.
This was an honest and realistic culmination of Sam, Hawke
and Josh’s story. Some parts I saw coming, others I didn’t. But I loved it all
the same. I can’t wait to see what this author delivers next.
