Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ Becoming Dragon (Dragon Point #1) by Eve Langlais

Book Description:

A new series spun off the end of Bitten Point...

Brandon’s story…

Dragon Point isn’t a place, but rather a society, a secret one. And humans aren’t invited.

I’m a monster. That’s what Brandon thinks when he flees the medical institute that changed him. Living a normal life isn’t in the cards for him because, while he can hide his scaly skin, his wings are hard to miss. So he runs and lives in the shadows where monsters belong. What he didn’t expect to find were others just like him, and they call themselves dragons. Or so Aimi with the violet eyes tells him when she pins him to the ground.

Seriously, though, dragons?

He doesn’t want to believe, but the evidence is mounting. Not helping his resolve is the fact that the woman with the silver hair doesn’t fear the monster and wants to claim him.
However, before he can think of his own happiness, he has to rescue his little sister. Uncle Theo kidnapped her, and Brandon will do anything to get her back, even if he must embrace the monster within to become the dragon.

A great start to a new series. It has humour, sexy love scenes and unexpected action in the skies.

Brandon, a gator shifter, has been deceived by a family member and has been experimented on and made a prisoner in a medical institute. After managing to escape he now has to live in the shadows, hiding the change that the experiments have wrought to his body. All that goes through Brandon’s mind is…

“I’m a monster.”

All that goes through his mind is vengeance and to get his sister back from the psychopathic Uncle who has kidnapped her. The same Uncle who has brought him to what he is today.

But all that changed the night he met a beautiful woman on a rooftop. She told him her name was Aimi and she was a dragon. Beautiful, with long silver hair and violet eyes that spit green fire as she pinned him to the roof wanting to know who he was.

Astonished that she was not afraid of him and even more so when she told him he was a dragon like her he told her she was mad insisting he was broken. But Aimi was to prove him wrong and that she was right and also, she was determined to claim him as her own.

“Mine.”

As the story goes along you meet Aimi’s family and what an eye opener they are. Lots of fun and madness. Led by the Matriarch, Aimis' mother, Zatra the Countess for the Silver Sept and she is a character all on her own.

A big surprise is in store for Brandon that Aimi and her family have discovered about him even if it takes a long time for him to believe it. He also is very aware of the growing attraction between himself and Aimi and the connection they share which frightens him as it could put her in danger but Aimi is one very determined silver dragon. Aimi has set her heart on having Brandon and he will be the biggest prize of all in her hoard. Her mate, and she will get him anyway she can which in her eyes means a lot of very sexy loving if only she can keep him in her bed long enough.

For Brandon, the more he is in Aimi’s company, the more his attraction for her grows. His Aimi, so beautiful with a droll humour and a single-mindedness that he can only admire and this royal silver dragon wants him, the gator from the swamps.

Lots of things happening in this great story. You have to laugh at the sheer determination and tricks that Aimi pulls to get her man and you will love her family, they definitely keep things interesting.

Well done Ms Langlais, a very enjoyable read and I can see this is going to be a brilliant series.
