I so love this series. The characters jump out at you,
especially Meryn, she is one crazy lady but so lovable with it.
The stories are about fated love. The lovemaking is so
beautifully written that you wish, if you were single, that you could meet that
special someone that Alanea Alder portrays in her books.
This book is about Ellie, an elephant shifter, and a first-class
paediatrician. Her life hasn't been easy because of her fuller figure which has
caused a lot of people to call her nasty names and make very derogatory remarks.
This has made her very insecure about herself and has made her sworn off men
and she has given up her dream of ever meeting her mate and having lots of
children of her own.
Ellie's friend Kari has called her for help. A mysterious
illness is affecting the shifter children in Noctem Falls where Kari lives.
Ellie could not let her friend down especially as it concerned children. She
quickly packed up supplies and made her way to Noctem Falls. She had the shock
of her life when she came face to face with her fated mate.
Grant is a timber wolf shifter and a warrior. He had been
cruelly treated in his past which has made him a man of few words and someone
who doesn't do well in company. But all that was going to change when Ellie
came into his life. All his preconceived ideas were blown out of the water.
The change in Grant was a sight to behold and all the people
around him could not help noticing and were so pleased and happy that this fine
warrior had finely met his fated mate.
Their love blossomed and Grant wanted to make sure that this
woman, whom he loved with an intensity so great was made to realize that she
was a beautiful person inside and out and was going to do his level best to
knock out all her insecurities from her mind. Grant set out to show exactly how
much he loved her curves.
“He bent down and nipped at her
fingers until she moved them. "All of you belongs to me. How could you
think I wouldn't love every inch of you.””
Ellie had not felt so loved and cherished in all her life.
At last she felt at peace with herself.
There is a lot going on in Noctem Falls. Surprises all
round. With favourite characters making the story interesting and making this a
real page turner. Again, as always, a really great read which I couldn't put
down. This series I would recommend everyone to read. A real winner all round
Ms Alder.
