I have got to say, I really, really enjoyed this book. It is certainly a real page turner, it’s hot and sexy and the males are smoking hot.

The characters are so believable. The Scottish element is diamond. Protective Papa much. The story just keeps you glued, wanting to know what will happen next.

The two main characters are Searc Macleod a three-hundred-year-old immortal vampire and is a special operative at the Paranormal Security. He is one very handsome male who could have any woman he wanted but for the past six years he has been totally captivated by a woman who knows he mustn't go near her let alone touch her if he wanted to stay alive. She is Jessie Buchanan, his sire, Cormag’s, daughter. He will let no man go near her. Cormag is very, very protective of Jessie.

Jessie is close to being twenty-four and attends University, which is affiliated to P.S.I. That is the only reason her father has allowed her to go and also have her own condo close to the University. Although her father has made sure she is protected when he is not around by asking if P.S.I. operatives if they would be her body guards.

Jessie gets lot of attention from men as she is beautiful. With long red hair which shows her Scottish heritage which she inherited from Cormag a Master Vampire. It all starts with Jessie losing days and not knowing why. Then you have Searc waking up from his deep sleep knowing something has happened to Jessie but being told that everything was okay with her, which didn't sit right with Searc.

I don't want to say much more as I don't wish to spoil it for other readers. But it is cloak and dagger at its best with very dodgy characters and an evil Corporation trying to cause havoc. From the start, everything is not what it seems which makes for a really brilliant book.

Loved the camaraderie between the agents and you have to laugh at their antics. This is a really great book, superb story Ms Roth. I will certainly be following this series with great interest.
