Forever Valentine PR and More is proud to present the release blitz for Presidential Bargain by Rebecca Gallo.

Title: Presidential Bargain
Author: Rebecca Gallo
Release Date: Aug 14 2017

Book Description:

Jameson Martin was the presidential candidate who needed a wife. I needed a way out of debt.

The moment I agreed to be his pretend fiancée, all our problems should have been solved. Instead, things got complicated.

Publicly, we were the picture of patriotic perfection.

Privately, we struggled with the one thing that wasn’t in our plan – more.

I didn’t realize how lonely my life was until Jameson filled it with everything I was missing. His passionate commitment to public service earned my vote; his icy blue gaze and the way he gave me a purpose stole my heart. But I wanted to be his partner, not his secret. And I wanted the one thing that Jameson struggled to give me – his heart.

“Will you still want me if you don’t win?”

I love reading new authors and this was one that called to me purely because of it being political. I love reading political romances, especially ones about presidential races with all the under-hand tactics and the “I will do anything” attitude to win. Rebecca Gallo delivered the perfect balance of politics and romance with Presidential Bargain, enough to sate both reading loves while delivering a believable, all-consuming story. A sign of a good book is a single sitting read and this was one of those books for me and for a debut author to achieve that is no mean feat.

Yes, this is a fake fiancée trope, which has been done so many times, but, this was one of the best that I have read. I fell in love with this couple from the outset, the underlying sexual chemistry was forever present and I loved that the heroine in this story was no door-mat. Georgie was strong-minded, she stood up for herself and what she believed in and with a man as hard headed as Jameson this led to many an entertaining confrontation. Georgie was a school teacher but her immersion into politics was fluid, she had the head for it, the drive and the ambition, the perfect fiancée for a man as politically driven as Jameson.

“You have no idea how lonely the past few years have been. He has no idea how lonely I’ve been. Now, I have everything I didn’t know I wanted, and he has this awesome power to take it all away.”

Jameson was the “peoples” candidate, he came from humble beginnings, had been in the military and had now turned his hand to politics. Jameson wanted to run a clean campaign and while the candidate he was up against was one of America’s wholesome, family-oriented, well-loved politicians, it seems his integrity and under-hand tactics held no bounds. This book was full of surprises, intense at times, intriguing, suspenseful and totalling engrossing.

“Her expression was genuine. But, was mine? Or was it a mask?”

The growth in both characters plays out in glorious technicolour as Georgie finds her voice and her inner-strength and Jameson finds his heart. Neither wanted romance, neither thought that they would even like one and other, but they both needed each other. As I said above, the chemistry was on point, the development in them as a couple went at a great pace and the change in both of them as they fell was heart-warming.

This book has something for everyone, action, love, politics and one incredibly hot romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and will definitely be keeping an eye out for future books from this author. For a debut, this author nailed it.

About the Author:

Rebecca Gallo was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by her babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. She harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the mini-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. She is still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.

Rebecca currently lives in the Southwest with her husband, tiny four-year-old terror, and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When she isn’t swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, she can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos.
