Review ~ Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher

“Never stop. Never forget.”

OMG!! When is the next instalment? I did not realise that this was a serial type read as I like to go into my books blind and stay away from teasers, reviews and other people’s opinions. After some investigating it seems that what started out as some fun between these two authors, Never Never was born, each writing a chapter before sending it to the other for the next chapter to be written.

This book is quite a mind f**k, to be honest the authors do not really give anything away in this book and I am still no nearer to understanding what on earth is happening. We all know what a twisted mind Tarryn Fisher has, so this could go anywhere!! Will Colleen be strong enough to rein it in though? This is kind of like a book battle, good vs evil!!

You cannot really place this book in any specific genre; it has romantic undertones but is more a mystery, suspense type read. There is obviously something going on in the background, but whatever it is I am none the wiser.

Charlie and Silas have been friends since they were little; they have been lovers, now they are strangers. The chapters are written in both Charlie and Silas’s POV’s and this enables the reader to really connect to both characters. It becomes plain as day that both characters have different aims from their current predicament. Charlie wants to forget and Silas wants to remember.

“…she’s the girl I supposedly make love to. The girl I’ve apparently made love to for a while. The girl I apparently still love. I just wish I could remember…”

This is a un-put-down-able read and as each page is turned you cannot help but wonder what is happening, how this situation has come to be and then at the end you are left dumbstruck. This is unlike anything I have read before, it is unique, it is extremely engaging and now I know it is extremely addictive! I cannot wait for the next instalment.

“Took what as a challenge? You think you can make me like you again?” I look over at her and give my head the slightest shake. “No. I’m gonna make you fall in love with me again.”
